JRB 8' x 8' Tarp

Description:  The ideal backpacking hammock tarp for small and regular size hammocks.  Made out of silicon impregnated 1.1 oz. ripstop nylon cordura_® with ten tie-out/lift tabs. This tarp with its diagonal ridgeline seam was originally designed for hammock use  and requires only two stakes.  The 10 foot diagonal ridgeline provides excellent coverage, including full side wind protection, for hammocks up to 9 feet long.  It readily facilitates ground use for those seeking more width than traditional 5'x8' tarps or ponchos.  The tarp finished size is 7' 2" x 7' 2".  It weighs 9.4 ounces and packs to 5"x5"x2".  Includes a color coordinated silnyl stuff sack.

NOTE:  Prior to use it is recommended that the ridgeline seam be sealed.  It is particularly important to seal around the center tab as this is the most vulnerable spot on the tarp.  Jacks 'R' Better recommends McNett SilNet Silicon Seam Sealer.

WARNING:  Silicon impregnated nylon is flammable, please use caution near open flame.

CAUTION:  Nylon will age and breakdown prematurely if exposed to continuous sunlight (ultra-violet light).  Do not leave nylon products set up in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.
