Mt. Washington, at 6288 feet, is the home of the world’s worst weather: bitter cold, heavy fog, deep snow, and incredible wind … occasionally a beautiful day. To tackle the winter’s worst conditions, Jacks ‘R’ Better has designed a unique hammock under quilt with a dual differential cut, body contoured design and constant height radial baffles to achieve a 0-10 degree capability. These are the most capable and warmest commercially available hammock under quilts.
Description: The Jacks ‘R’ Better Mt. Washington under quilt works on any hammock – including all gathered end hammocks such as: Clarks, Claytors, Eagles Nests, Hennessys, Warbonnets and the unique Jacks ‘R’ Better Bear Mountain Bridge Hammock. It attaches to a hammock in under a minute with the included JRB Suspension System. The shell is two-color, 1.1 ounce rip-stop nylon with a durable water resistant (DWR) treatment. It has a light, subdued outer color for aesthetic appearance and reflective qualities and a black inside for warmth retention and to facilitate field drying. Comes with a JRB silnyl compression sack that allows it to be stuffed to 8 x 8 x 9 inches.

Description: The Mt Washington 3 Convertible is a truly unique under quilt system. Having the same design characteristics as the Mt Washington 3, it consists of two pieces : The Mt Washington 3 Short (49" x 42"), and the Mt Washington 3 Compliment (28" x 42"). Use the MW3 Short for late spring, summer and early fall use; then attach the MW3 Compliment for a full size Mt Washington 3. No need to choose a fractional quilt or full size, this one quilt system does it all.
Note: Use of fractional under quilts is an ultra light approach that requires the user to use their sit pad, back pack or clothes bag under their legs and heels.
When in the full size mode the sit pad or half pad may be used to supplement the main body area for those occasions when the user encounters temperatures colder than 20 degrees, such as an unexpected cold snap or a rare Winter hammock trip. The weight of the Mt Washington 3 Short is 14 oz. and the Mt Washington 3 Compliment weighs 9.5 oz. for a total weight of 23.5 oz.
As a bonus, a pad user looking to address the cold shoulders, arms, and hips problems of the narrow pad can use the Mt Washington 3 Compliment to add torso warmth and/or provide for the all important side coverage. Use of this option requires a ¾ or full pad.
Comes with a JRB silnyl compression sack and a modified JRB Suspension System with instructions included.
