All Jacks ‘R’ Better quilts are made using top quality 1.1 oz. ripstop nylon with a Durable Water Resistant (DWR) treatment.  They are insulated with high quality, 800+ fill power or 900 + fill power, goose down.  Their two color shells have a light, subdued outer color for aesthetic appearance and reflective qualities, and a black inside for warmth retention and to facilitate field drying.

The insulating performance of 800 fill power quilts and a 900 fill power quilts of the same model are identical. The 900 fill power versions are lighter.  900 fill power three season quilt will weigh about 1.5 ounces less than the same quilt with 800 fill power down.   A 900 fill power winter model will weigh about 2.25 ounces less than the same winter quilt with 800 fill power and a 900 fill power summer quilt will weigh about 0.75 ounces less than a summer quilt with 800 fill power down.
