These are great for light loads, but do not make the same mistake that I did. I had a not so brilliant idea to connect my self tensioning lines to the tarp with these. That way I could quickly disconnect my guy lines and change the tarp configuration very easily. Well…long story short, I got caught in a storm, with winds close to hurricane strength. My JRB 11X10 held up great! These little biners, not so much. Several of them bent or completely snapped, requiring an emergency repair during a lull in the storm. I still think it was a neat idea, but plastic biners are the wisest choice for this application. Still a neat product in the right application.
