Backpacking Quilt Or Hammock Top Quilt
A backpacking quilt or hammock top quilt can be a great alternative to a traditional sleeping bag.
Camping enthusiasts understand the significance of owning comfortable and lightweight sleeping gear. While a sleeping bag is the most common choice, a backpacking quilt is a fantastic alternative. It is 30% lighter than a sleeping bag, making it an ideal choice for backpackers who need to travel light. Furthermore, a top quilt provides insulation exactly where it’s required, making it more comfortable and easier to ventilate. It is designed to eliminate the excess material and insulation found in sleeping bags, which makes it more efficient to pack and carry. Since it occupies less space, it compresses less when packed and quickly regains its shape when setting up camp.
Additionally, a hammock top quilt is more versatile than a sleeping bag because it can be used as a blanket, a wrap, or a poncho, making it an all-around excellent investment for any camping trip.If you are someone who loves camping, then you know how important it is to have comfortable and lightweight sleeping gear. A top quilt is lighter than a sleeping bag by almost 30%, and it provides insulation exactly where it’s required, making it more comfortable and easier to ventilate. Since it takes up less space, it compresses less when packing and quickly regains its shape when setting up camp.
Backpacking Quilt / Hammock Top Quilt Benefits:
A hammock top quilt is a lightweight and comfortable alternative to a sleeping bag. It is 30% lighter than a sleeping bag, and it provides insulation on top of where it’s needed, making it less restrictive and easier to ventilate. It takes up less space, which means less compression when packing and faster lofting when setting up camp.
Backpacking Quilt / Hammock Top Quilt Features:
1. Footbox: The standard footbox is formed with a drawcord, cord locks, and double-sided Kam Snaps. This allows the quilt to be left as a blanket for easy venting, a footbox to be formed, or multiple quilts to be stacked in colder temperatures.
2. Optional Sewn Footbox: This feature eliminates the Kam Snaps, drawcord, and cord locks by permanently sewing the footbox across the bottom and sides of the quilt.
3. Down: The down used is certified Responsible Down Standard (RDS), either 850+FP or 1000 FP. All Jacks ‘R’ Better quilts are optimized with a 33% over-stuff to reduce down migration and maintain its rating if the down loses loft between cleanings. Therefore, no additional over-stuffing is recommended.
