The ORIGINAL Hammock Under Quilt
"Your Hennessy hammock is not complete without the JRB Nest under quilt."
Description: The ORIGINAL hammock under quilt, the "Nest" is a solid three season quilt. It was specifically designed for the Hennessy Ultralite Backpacker A-sym but will work on virtually any light weight camping hammock. The design includes a split entrance w/non-snagging, double sex Velcro hook and loop called Omni-Tape that attaches to the Hennessy’s entrance hook and loop. It can be self fastened to form a flat quilt for cabin use or serve as a stand-alone top quilt or bag since it has a foot sack capability as well. Finally, it can be worn as a parka length vest on cool mornings or evenings. The "Nest" attaches to the hammock in under a minute without sewing or special hardware (attachment instructions). It comes with a JRB Suspension System and the improved foot end draw cord modification to assist in elimination of the dead air pocket that sometimes is experienced under the legs. Includes a 1.2 oz. JRB silnyl compression sack that allows it to be stuffed to 7”x7”x8”.
The "Nest" is nominally a 78” x 48” x 2.5”, 21 ounce, down under quilt. It is baffled to 1.9 inches and over stuffed to achieve 2.5 inches of loft. The shell is two color, 1.1 ounce rip-stop nylon with DWR treatment. It has a light, subdued color on one side for aesthetic appearance and reflective qualities and a black side for warmth retention and to facilitate field drying (colors may vary depending on availability). The baffle are constructed with no-see-um netting and the quilt is filled with 800+ fill power down. And now it has all the attachment points to make it fully reversible - use it green side out or black side out.
Note: The “Nest” was specifically designed for the Hennessy Ultralite Backpacker A-sym. However, the design of the suspension system and the Omni-Tape closure on the slit allows it to fit all asymmetric models of the HH and most other lightweight camping hammocks. The Hennessy Adventure Racer requires the addition of two elastic straps. Simply advise us when you order if you have this model and we'll add these at no cost. The older non-asymmetric models of the Hennessy require a simple modification to the Nest. If you have one of these, again simply advise us when you order and we'll apply the modification at no cost.
