Description
This unique Gear Hammock Gear Pack Cover was conceived by Just Jeff of whiteblaze.net and refined by Jacks ‘R’ Better.
Hammock Gear Hammock/Pack Cover Features
Made of silicone impregnated 1.1 oz. ripstop nylon, with only perimeter seams, it is waterproof without seam sealing.
The 1/8 inch shock cord, around the complete perimeter, with a single toggle insures durable, secure, easy employment as a rain cover. Nylon gross grain corner tabs facilitate quick hanging as a gear hammock either above, below, or along side a regular hammock.
It doubles as a large waterproof pack cover and works well as a gear sack for loose items under a ground tarp. When the four corners are gathered with a cord or the included micro-carabiners it can carry and store 6-10 quarts of water. When placed carefully over a cleared depression it readily serves as a field sink or tub.
The micro-carabiners have several uses. In the pack cover mode, attach them to a corner loop and clip them on any convenient pack strap for insurance against loss in extreme high winds.
They also facilitates quick connect and disconnect to a Hennessy Hammock©. Use one to attach one of the hammock Gear Hammock corner loops to the HH side tie-out point then use the other to clip the opposite corner loop to the HH suspension line in the vicinity of the knot cover.

Question: Are there a couple of small grommeted drain holes in one end so it will drain when used as a pack cover?
the jacks –
No. If you position one of the corner tabs at the bottom water will drain out there.
